Adhering to strict safety and technical standards ensures a fair and innovative environment for all student engineers in Southern Maryland.
Safety Protocols
Compliance with OSHA standards is mandatory. All SeaPerch units must be constructed with non-toxic, food-grade materials. Safety briefings are required for every team member prior to the competition start.
Scoring Rubric
Teams are scored on technical precision, engineering design, and underwater performance. Each category is weighted to encourage innovation and technical mastery in the aquatic robotics field.
